Mother – Are you Happy on this Day?

Are you happy with yourself as a Mom?

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I want to encourage all the mothers out there who might be struggling today.

Being a new mom can be scary even though it is one of the most exciting times in your life! And then…it… doesn’t…. get…. any… easier…it gets harder!

Being a Mom is the Hardest Job I’ve Ever Had!

Struggling with being a Mom? Read for encouragement!

Have you ever thought,

“I am a failure!”, “I just can’t do this!”,
“Why can’t I be like other moms?”

Well Join the Mommy Club – We’ve ALL been there!

From newborn issues, to the terrible twos, to teenage years and even parenting adult children…It can sometimes just be HARD! Nothing can really prepare you for what lies ahead in your motherhood years. You will experience happiness, fear, joy, sadness, anger, and sometimes several of these emotions all at the same time! But, it is also the most rewarding experience!

I remember when my three girls where little. I was lugging a baby carrier, diaper bag, and hanging on to the other two trekking into church. (It was probably one of those days when we couldn’t find matching shoes, hair halfway fixed, and going on little sleep – you know the kind of day I’m talking about right?) Anyway, a lovely lady walked up to me and said, “Enjoy them while they are little because they grow up sooo fast”. My immediate thought was I just want them to be able to get in and out of the car by themselves! But now, now that my “babies” are 14, 18, and 20 I know what she meant. And if I could go back and do some things differently I definitely would!

So many times I felt like I just wasn’t good enough. I wanted to be the best wife and mother that I could be but there was always that voice telling me I wasn’t doing enough. I failed, I made mistakes, and I messed up. Every mom does. Nobody is perfect and we ALL make mistakes! But don’t let the lies of the enemy take root in your heart.

Don’t let the enemy lie to you and tell you that
you are not a good mom or that you don’t have what it takes
or that you’ll never be enough.

Take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5)
and replace it with positive thoughts!

You are enough!
God choose you to be the mother of your children and he chose those children just for you because he knew you could do it!
You can handle it! You will make it!
